Just wanted to pass this along, in case you haven’t seen it yet.
This is the 2013 Nebraska Cornhusker spring football game from the other day. The young man you see trotting onto the field is Jack Hoffman, a 7 year old cancer patient who became friends with several of the players in 2011 when they visited him in the hospital. He has bonded with the team, and they allowed him to dress and play one play during the spring game. Jack took the handoff from Taylor Martinez and, well, you can see what happens.
If that doesn’t at least bring a smile to your face or well up a tear in your eye, then you may need to make sure you’re watching the correct video.
Once upon a time I was tepidly recruited by Nebraska for football, but have always been a Badger fan. Despite my allegiances, I have to say to Husker Nation “Well Done” for this one.
